Africa-Press – Senegal. Air Senegal declares that it has obtained IOSA certification, the IATA Operational Safety Audit, a global standard for verifying the safety of airline operating procedures.
“The Air Senegal national flag is proud to announce that it has obtained IOSA certification,” the company said in a statement sent to APS.
‘’Cette certification délivrée’’ par l’Association du transport aérien international ‘’est un label de qualité octroyé aux compagnies aériennes après un audit portant sur 1.057 points de contrôle dans huit domaines principaux’’, explique Air Sénégal.
Il s’agit des systèmes de gestion de la qualité et de la sécurité, de l’organisation de la compagnie, de la maintenance des aéronefs, des opérations aériennes et de la formation des équipages techniques et de cabine, détaille la même source.
Les opérations au sol, ainsi que le centre de contrôle des opérations aériennes et de la sûreté font partie des domaines évalués, selon le communiqué.
« This guarantee of quality and safety will enable Air Senegal to benefit from numerous commercial and marketing advantages such as the reinforcement of the safety and security of operations, the improvement of the quality of service and the recognition of airlines,” the airline adds.
IOSA certification will increase its room for maneuver in terms of interline development with other international companies and/or alliances, the signing of commercial agreements with airlines and international organizations, in addition to giving it the possibility of becoming a member of IATA, according to the same source.
The reduction in the insurance premium is one of the advantages to be drawn from this certification, adds Air Senegal.
