Africa-Press – Senegal. The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Equipment and Food Sovereignty, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye, resigned from the government and from his responsibilities at the Alliance for the Republic (APR), the political party of Macky Sall, APS learned on Saturday from the communications service of his ministerial department.
The resignation of Mr. Ndiaye came shortly after the appointment, the same day, of Prime Minister Amadou Ba as the candidate of the Benno Bokk Yaakaar (majority) coalition in the presidential election of February 25, 2024.
He was one of the favorite contenders for the BBY candidacy.
