Africa-Press – Senegal. <\/strong><\/span>Benin’s national coach, Gernot Rohr, on Tuesday released a list of 25 players for their game on the fifth day of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers, against Senegal .<\/p>\n

The meeting between the Squirrels of Benin and the Lions of Senegal will take place on Saturday June 17 at 7 p.m. GMT, at the Stade de l’Amitie\u0301 Ge\u0301ne\u0301ral Mathieu-Ke\u0301re\u0301kou, in Cotonou.<\/p>\n

Gernot Rohr a constitue\u0301 une liste comprenant plusieurs cadres de l\u2019e\u0301quipe be\u0301ninoise, dont Ste\u0301phane Sessegnon. Age\u0301 de 39 ans, Sessegnon a joue\u0301 83 matchs avec l\u2019e\u0301quipe nationale senior du Be\u0301nin.<\/p>\n

Sessi d\u2019Almeida, le milieu de\u0301fensif de Pau Football Club, avec 25 se\u0301lections en e\u0301quipe nationale, fait partie aussi des cadres auxquels Rohr a fait appel.<\/p>\n

C\u2019e\u0301tait lors de leur match nul (1-1), qui faisait partie de la quatrie\u0300me journe\u0301e des e\u0301liminatoires de la CAN 2023, le 29 mars dernier.<\/p>\n

Le jury disciplinaire de la Confe\u0301de\u0301ration africaine de football (CAF) a valide\u0301 le recours, le 17 mai dernier, et a sanctionne\u0301 le Rwanda, qui perd sur tapis vert.<\/p>\n

CAF’s decision allows Benin to occupy third place, with the same number of points (4) as Mozambique.<\/p>\n

Senegal, the first of the group with 12 points, has already qualified for the final phase of CAN 2023 scheduled in Co\u0302te d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.<\/p>\n
