Africa-Press – Senegal. <\/strong><\/span>The World Bank on Tuesday approved \u201cbudgetary support\u201d of 182.4 billion CFA francs to help Senegal improve its health, social and economic promotion policy for women, learned the ‘APS on Wednesday from a source close to the Ministry of Budget and Finance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Board of Directors of the World Bank Group approved, on June 13, 2023, budget support […] for a total amount equivalent to 300 million United States dollars, or 182.4 billion francs CFA, for the benefit of the Republic of Senegal,\u201d reads an information note.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0This budget support comes in support of political reforms, the objective of which is to promote better access to health, social safety nets and the economic advancement of women\u00a0\u00bb, specifies the text received from the entourage of the Minister of Budget and Finance.<\/p>\n

The document adds that this money \u201cshould also make it possible to strengthen the mobilization of domestic resources, while encouraging the private sector, in particular its increased participation in digital\u201d.<\/p>\n

Le Se\u0301ne\u0301gal va utiliser l\u2019aide budge\u0301taire rec\u0327ue de la Banque mondiale pour financer aussi sa politique d\u2019\u2018\u2019ame\u0301lioration de la re\u0301silience et de la productivite\u0301 des me\u0301nages\u2019\u2019, ainsi que ses initiatives de \u2018\u2019renforcement de la transparence et de la soutenabilite\u0301 dans la gestion des ressources naturelles\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

Cette aide va aussi servir a\u0300 la \u2018\u2019gestion efficiente des comptes fiscaux\u2019\u2019, selon la me\u0302me source.<\/p>\n
