We are resolutely committed to holding all those involved in this violence accountable for their actions,\u201d he promised.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Inquiries are open to determine the causes of death and locate the responsibilities,\u00a0\u00bb insisted Amadou Ba.<\/p>\n<p>Il estime que \u2018\u2019les violences note\u0301es, les destructions de biens publics et prive\u0301s ont des re\u0301percussions ne\u0301gatives et un cou\u0302t conside\u0301rable, qui mettent en pe\u0301ril les emplois, les entreprises locales, tout comme les partenaires de pays amis et l\u2019activite\u0301 e\u0301conomique en ge\u0301ne\u0301ral\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0The economic, financial, emotional and reputational damage suffered by the nation is incalculable,\u00a0\u00bb Ba noted.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Ministry of the Interior, 16 people were killed in the demonstrations that took place after opponent Ousmane Sonko was sentenced to two years in prison for \u201cyouth corruption\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Amnesty International, whose office for West and Central Africa is based in Dakar, announced the death of 23 people in the violence.<\/p>\n<p>La peine requise contre M.
