Africa-Press – Senegal. <\/strong><\/span>The Beach Soccer Lions achieved their third success at the African Beach Games in Hammamet, Tunisia, after winning 11-5 against Libya in the match counting for the third day of this competition.<\/p>\n

The Senegal team, crowned champion at the end of the first edition organized in 2019 (Cape Verde), will try to win the gold medal against Morocco, Friday at 4:30 p.m. GMT.<\/p>\n

Mamadou Diallo’s players won by a wide margin, 12-1, ahead of Kenya on the first day. They had again dominated Tanzania, 7-1.<\/p>\n

Following the withdrawal of several teams \u2013 Egypt, Comoros, Madagascar \u2013 the calendar has been rearranged.<\/p>\n

Only five teams participate in the beach soccer tournament of the African Beach Games. These are Libya, Kenya, Morocco, Senegal and Tanzania.<\/p>\n

The African Beach Games beach soccer tournament will serve as preparation for the seven-time African champions for the discipline’s World Cup scheduled for December in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n

FIFA announced last Friday that it has decided to postpone until next February (15-25), the Beach Soccer World Cup originally scheduled for November 16-26, 2023.<\/p>\n

The Beach Lions finished at the foot of the podium in the last edition organized in 2021, in Russia, and won by Portugal.<\/p>\n
