Africa-Press – Senegal. <\/strong><\/span>The National Center for Local Public Service and Training (CNFPLF) has signed with the Franco-Senegalese Campus (CFS) with a view to \u00ab\u00a0strengthening the skills of Senegalese local authorities\u00a0\u00bb, said -we learned on Wednesday from the two partners.<\/p>\n

\u201cA crucial step for sustainable local development was taken today with the solemn signing of a framework partnership agreement between […] the National Center for Local Public Service and Training and the Franco-Senegalese Campus. This alliance marks a decisive turning point for Senegalese local authorities,\u201d say the CNFPLF and the CFS in a joint press release.<\/p>\n

The agreement was signed last Monday by Abdou Khadre Ndiaye, the director general of the CNFPLF, and Professor Serigne Mague\u0300ye Gue\u0300ye, the director general of the CFS, according to the text.<\/p>\n

Through this agreement, the two parties \u00ab\u00a0reaffirm[s] their resolute commitment to […] strengthening the skills of local authorities in Senegal\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe result of in-depth reflection, this strategic collaboration revolves around the creation of a dynamic synergy to support local authorities\u201d, adds the press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe officially sealed partnership […] is the result of fruitful discussions and coordinated efforts between the two institutions,\u201d emphasize the CNFPLF and the CFS.<\/p>\n

They explain that \u201cthis partnership […] concerns three major areas of collaboration.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst, it aims to strengthen the skills of local actors, with training programs specially designed to meet the needs of local authorities. These programs will provide elected officials and territorial actors with the knowledge and skills essential to effective public management, with an emphasis on local and sustainable development\u201d, specifies the two partners.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Secondly, they add, it promotes applied research and innovation, through the development of innovative solutions to the specific challenges of local authorities, in order to propose concrete and practical responses to the specific issues with which these authorities are confronted\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Finally, the CNFPLF and the CFS affirm that \u201cthe partnership aims to support local authorities in planning long-term sustainable local development projects by providing them with academic and technical expertise\u201d.<\/p>\n
