L\u2019entreprise, qui avait alerte\u0301 il y a dix jours avoir un besoin urgent de se refinancer d\u2019ici au 30 juin, va \u00ab solliciter l\u2019ouverture d\u2019une proce\u0301dure de redressement judiciaire aupre\u0300s du Tribunal des Affaires Economiques de Versailles \u00bb, selon un communique\u0301. Dans l\u2019attente de la de\u0301cision du tribunal, qui devrait intervenir \u00ab dans les tout prochains jours \u00bb, la cotation de l\u2019action Carmat a e\u0301te\u0301 suspendue.<\/p>\n<p><b>Les 180 collaborateurs de Carmat dans l\u2019incertitude<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Le cours de l\u2019action e\u0301voluait dernie\u0300rement autour de 30 cents, alors qu\u2019il de\u0301passait 100 euros voici une dizaine d\u2019anne\u0301es. Il estimait que Carmat e\u0301tait sur \u00ab une rampe de lancement \u00bb apre\u0300s 42 implantations re\u0301alise\u0301es en 2024, un chiffre d\u2019affaires de 7 millions l\u2019an dernier et une rentabilite\u0301 attendue d\u2019ici \u00ab 4 a\u0300 5 ans \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Mais apre\u0300s 30 ans de recherche, 550 millions d\u2019investissements et 122 patients traite\u0301s avec son coeur artificiel temporaire, invente\u0301 par le professeur Alain Carpentier, Carmat \u00ab n\u2019est pas parvenue a\u0300 ce stade a\u0300 se\u0301curiser un tel comple\u0301ment de tre\u0301sorerie ni de nouveaux financements \u00bb. L\u2019entreprise qui compte 180 collaborateurs entre son sie\u0300ge de Ve\u0301lizy-Villacoublay et son site de production a\u0300 Bois-d\u2019Arcy, dans les Yvelines, \u00ab continue d\u2019explorer toutes les options qui permettraient la poursuite de ses activite\u0301s \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ouverture d\u2019une proce\u0301dure de redressement judiciaire constituerait, selon elle, \u00ab le cadre le plus approprie\u0301 pour faciliter cette poursuite \u00bb. Pour la suite, \u00ab les deux options les plus plausibles \u00bb sont \u00ab le rachat par un industriel du secteur \u00bb ou \u00ab un partenaire financier robuste qui viendrait soutenir les actionnaires historiques de Carmat jusqu\u2019a\u0300 atteindre la rentabilite\u0301 \u00bb, estime Mohamed Kaabouni, analyste du courtier Portzamparc. \u00ab Au regard du caracte\u0300re strate\u0301gique de la technologie, l\u2019intervention de l\u2019E\u0301tat franc\u0327ais n\u2019est pas a\u0300 exclure mais cela semble peu probable \u00bb, souligne-t-il dans une note.<\/p>\n<p><b>Le re\u0302ve d\u2019un \u00ab coeur de\u0301finitif \u00bb conc\u0327u par Carmat<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Le coeur artificiel Aeson de Carmat est destine\u0301 aux patients qui souffrent d\u2019insuffisance cardiaque terminale dans l\u2019attente d\u2019un coeur humain disponible pour une transplantation. Il comprend une prothe\u0300se reproduisant la forme et la fonction d\u2019un c\u0153ur naturel et d\u2019une tablette pour re\u0301gler les parame\u0300tres. Depuis sa premie\u0300re implantation sur un patient en 2014, l\u2019appareil a subi de nombreuses e\u0301volutions, Carmat re\u0302vant d\u2019un \u00ab coeur de\u0301finitif \u00bb, qui remplacerait le coeur malade.<\/p>\n<p>La socie\u0301te\u0301 avait notamment suspendu volontairement les implantations entre fin 2021 et octobre 2022 pour apporter des ame\u0301liorations au dispositif a\u0300 la suite de dysfonctionnements qui avaient cou\u0302te\u0301 la vie a\u0300 deux patients. \u00ab L\u2019insuffisance cardiaque, c\u2019est une maladie qui tue plus que le cancer \u00bb et qui ne touche pas seulement des personnes a\u0302ge\u0301es mais des adultes \u00ab autour de 54 ans \u00bb, avait souligne\u0301 il y a quelques jours Anne-Ce\u0301line Martin, de l\u2019unite\u0301 me\u0301dico-chirurgicale d\u2019insuffisance cardiaque se\u0301ve\u0300re a\u0300 l\u2019Ho\u0302pital Europe\u0301en Georges Pompidou qui a soutenu le projet Carmat de\u0300s le de\u0301but.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Le seul vrai traitement de l\u2019insuffisance cardiaque terminale, c\u2019est la transplantation.
