Africa-Press – Seychelles. Dr Hlamalani Nelly Manzini, South African High Commissioner accredited to Seychelles, paid a courtesy call on Minister Sylvestre Radegonde yesterday at Maison QuĂ©au de Quinssy.
During the meeting, the two sides seized the opportunity to reaffirm the excellent ties of cooperation between the two countries, dating back to 1993.
They also agreed that for the benefit of both countries, Seychelles and South Africa have the potential to collaborate in various sectors such as tourism, agriculture, sports and culture, and health.
As a fellow African nation, Dr Manzini briefly explained the challenges being faced by South Africa post-Covid-19 and following the flooding that has affected KwaZulu-Natal Province.
In the coming days, Seychelles and South Africa will co-chair the third Seychelles-South Africa Joint Commission on bilateral cooperation, which is scheduled to start today, Tuesday July 26, 2022 and end Friday July 29, 2022.
Also present in the meeting were Claude Morel, High Commissioner of the Republic of Seychelles to the Republic of South Africa, director general for bilateral affairs Lindy Ernesta and third secretary Nisha Serret.
