Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Ministry of Lands and Housing (MLH) has clarified that the proposed ‘Construction Professionals’ bill, is targeting specifically architects, engineers (civil & structural), draftsman and quantity surveyors and NOT contractors in the construction industry.
The MLH has reiterated that the ministry has engaged with all stakeholders concerned in the drafting of this bill which will be presented in the National Assembly soon.
Professionals in the construction industry and members of the public in general can contact the MLH should they require more information regarding the proposed ‘Construction Professionals’ bill.
The clarification follows reports in the media on a meeting on Saturday between the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly and construction professionals to discuss the proposed bill (see story above).
