Africa-Press – Seychelles. A power outage occurred early yesterday, Monday October 10, affecting residents and businesses on Praslin and La Digue, the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) has said.
In a communiqué dated October 10, 2022, PUC wrote that “for safety precautions the 11kV system had to be shut down to allow the mechanical disconnection of a faulty engine breaker. All efforts were made to expedite the restoration of electricity supply in the shortest delay possible. Supply was restored in one hour.
A team from Mahé has been deployed to undertake necessary investigation.
The corporation would also like to thank the affected customers for their patience and understanding.
