Last Saturday, the teachers of the French department of the Ecole de Rivière Anglaise Secondary organized a football tournament for the students of the S1 level of this school. The teams included students, parents and teachers.
There were four teams.
Indeed, this tournament had the purpose of building relationships between students, parents and teachers in an atmosphere of relaxation and conviviality. Also, the theme of sport is treated at the level of S1 in the teaching of the French language. The tournament was also an opportunity for these young students to showcase their footballing talent.
The initiative was very well appreciated by the school management as well as by the children and their parents. We would like to thank the National Sports Council (NSC) for giving us the authorization to use the football pitch of La Promenade. Our thanks also go to the physical education teachers of the school who ensured the smooth running of the tournament. Finally, we thank the students and parents for their active participation.
It is certain that the tournament was a great success given the positive comments we received from parents as well as students. The wish is to continue organizing such events for our students. The winners of the tournament will be rewarded at the end of the school year.
