Mont Fleuri gets new bus shelter sponsored by G.S. Pillay

Africa-Press – Seychelles. G.S. Pillay family has sponsored a new bus shelter at Mont Fleuri just in front of UniSey. The official inauguration was done on January 2, 2023 by Jothimani Pillay, wife of the late G.S. Pillay, whose birthday falls on that date.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the MNA for Mont Fleuri, Michel Roucou; the chief executive of the Seychelles Land and Transport Agency, Parinda Herath; the district administrator Steve Noel; and other officers of SLTA.

This bus shelter was done in collaboration between SLTA and the grandchild of the late G.S. Pillay – Raj Pradeep Pillay.

This bus shelter will replace the current one which has to be demolished to complete work on the new roundabout.

Mr Herath expressed his gratitude to the G.S. Pillay family for such a noble gesture.

“The Pillay family approached us to sponsor the bus shelter and this offer was welcomed as it reduces government cost. This will allow us to work on the road and the roundabout faster to allow smoother circulation.”

Sreeshma Pillay, a member of the family, concluded the event by stating that G.S. Pillay group will always be ready whenever they can to help the community with other projects in the future.

MNA Roucou thanked the G.S. Pillay group for this great New Year gift and noted that the bus shelter will be of great help for the community.
