Africa-Press – Seychelles. A painting exhibition by Ms. Alessandra Azaïs, painter and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Republic of Seychelles, was officially launched this Wednesday at the Alliance Française of Seychelles.
The opening of the exhibition Ocean & Sky: the meeting of horizons was held in the gallery of the Alliance Française of Seychelles, on the 1st floor. We discover, in exclusivity, 80 paintings of sunsets by the talented Mrs. Azaïs. Exhibited to the general public for the first time, the canvases have been produced over the years – 12 years to be exact.
“This is not my first exhibition and two years ago I had a collection of paintings with fruits and vegetables. I also did the paintings of former Presidents who are at the State House. I also made portraits of important people in the country,” shared Ms. Azaïs.
The work is remarkable and the colors are spectacular. The exhibition depicts with delicacy, accuracy and realism the sunsets that each of us, inhabitants of the Seychelles, witness every evening. Ms. Azaïs warmly thanked the Alliance Française for this great exhibition opportunity, her friends and her counterparts who came to discover and admire her work. She also wished to thank the Seychelles; how she likes to say “Thank you to the Seychelles” for allowing her to be inspired on a daily basis and to produce such an extensive collection of sunset paintings.
