Africa-Press – Seychelles. The founder of the Prophetic Christian Gathering, Pastor Gerys Cole, has launched a prayer book entitled ‘Daily Grace for July 2023’, which is a collection of daily prayers, aimed at inspiring and guiding people who are on a soul-enriching expedition.

Mr Cole said he was inspired to write the book four years ago following his many encounters with the public where he noticed a loophole in the way people were praying.

“They were praying, but their prayers were not focused. Some people did not put Jesus at the centre of their prayers. Our prayers should be in the name of Jesus based on God’s promises,” he stated.

Pastor Cole added that some people were too lazy to pray while others reserved praying for religious gatherings only.

“But just like they know they have to eat and drink water every day, they should also understand the importance of daily prayer so they can have guidance in their lives,” he said.

“Daily Grace is a tool to bring spiritual nourishment, spiritual inspiration and hope. It is a way to connect and ensure people remain connected to God. Daily Grace is encouraging people to grow in their biblical understanding so that they are touched by God’s grace and apply what they have learned in their daily lives,” he said.

Mr Cole added that everyone doing the same prayer daily also has a significant impact as “it creates an incredible force”.

Daily Grace for July 2023 is a 100-page book.

“We will have a prayer for each day of the month, starting with a reflection of the topic, followed by a quote from the bible. This will then be followed by an explanation and how a person can apply it in their daily lives, as well as a personalised prayer points and its concluding prayer,” explained Pastor Cole, stating the book will allow the person to read with a critical mind and is also an easy read as he has simplified the message found in the bible.

“I did not want something on the surface. I wanted a book that would touch the readers deeply and bring about that change in their daily spiritual growth. My objective is not for you to just have a book to read, but one that brings the truth, and leads to change in a practical approach that people understand and can relate to,” he added.

Mr Cole said that his encounters with locals for the past four years have allowed him to grasp the common problems people are facing and he has chosen the prayers’ themes based on those issues, which include love, gratitude, humility, weakness, letting go and healing, and so far he is getting positive feedback from the readers through their testimonies.

“This book is anointed by the power of God and people will see results,” concluded Mr Cole.

The books are on sale at R150 and although is targeting the congregation of the Prophetic Christian Gathering, the book is for the public at large. He plans to display some at the Bible Society.
