Football: Seychelles Schools’ Premier League weekly roundup Plaisance boys’ team take the lead

Africa-Press – Seychelles. Leaders Plaisance Secondary School, wearing the colours of Liverpool, are now six points clear off their nearest rivals, Mont Fleuri School (Tottenham), after beating them 2-1 last week.

Fans are predicting that the two teams will be going head-to-head again in the cup final.

Pointe Larue (Everton) are not too far behind after locking in three points against Anse Royale (Leicester), winning on an impressive 6-0 score.

The most remarkable this season has been the Independent School boys’ team (Manchester United), who, unlike the previous two seasons, have been a force to reckon with.

Presently sitting in fourth place, they took on English River School (Aston Villa) with both teams earning one point after their 2-2 draw.

In another match played, Perseverance School (Arsenal) scored three goals again Anse Boileau (West Ham), for a 3-0 win, climbing from eighth to sixth place.

In the girls’ league, Anse Boileau lead the 11-team table with 16 points.

In the only girls’ match played last week, Anse Boileau drew 3-3 with Perseverance.
