Africa-Press – Seychelles. On July 18, 2023 the Seychelles Prison Service will be observing the Nelson Mandela Day for the sixth consecutive year.
It was in 2018 that the service began to align its operations to adhere to the Nelson Mandela Rules, a minimum standard for the management of prisoners.
“Observing the day once again will permit us to announce further major steps being taken. Devotion to duty, our pledge,” says Raymond St Ange, Commissioner of Prison Service.
