Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Health Care Agency (HCA) has announced that it will be replacing all indications for Tetanus Toxoid to Tetanus diphtheria as of August 2023 for adults.
In a press release issued yesterday, the HCA stated that to ensure the Seychelles delegation is well protected during the forthcoming Indian Ocean Islands games, the National Sports Council in collaboration with the Expand Programme on Immunisation of HCA has organised a Supplementary Immunisation Activity for the Seychelles delegation.
“All those who are over the age of 25, who have not had a tetanus booster in the past 10 years and require the vaccine prior to travelling will be administered a Td booster dose,” it read.
The vaccination team will be at the NSC Medical Unit, ‘Stad Linite’, on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 9am to conduct the vaccination activity.
