The 38th edition of the Kreol Festival has been revealed

Africa-Press – Seychelles. The new line-up for this year’s Kreol Festival was unveiled yesterday during a ceremony at the Berjaya Resort, Praslin.

The chosen theme this year is “Wash in the river” and this poster was designed and produced by Urny Mathiot, who is the senior graphic officer at the Seychelles Creative Agency at the National Institute for Culture, Heritage and Land. The photographer for this story is Michel Desnousse.

It was the secretary general of the institute, David Andre, who revealed the fact.

When he was giving an explanation for this work, Mr. Mathiot said that he is honored and proud to once again present such a work for the Kreol Festival, with the help of a professional group including photographers and actors, which he said was a good night because they were able to demonstrate the characteristics that he was looking for for this job.

Mr. Mathiot also thanked the board of the Creole Festival committee that helped to come up with the slogan ‘Wash in the river’. We will remind you that last year the girl depicted a family group in the yard.”This year, together with the committee, we came up with this river stamp, which is another remarkable way in our creole that has always been alive. It was a small place where there were many conversations by different age groups. And you can imagine how the events are like this.

All the actors for this film are from Praslin and they include Birdie Accouche, Nadege Medor, Esther Joubert, Hazel Joubert, Ellah Joubert and Roland Andre, who could not attend and was represented by Nadege Joubert. All of them received a copy of this book as a souvenir.

A copy of the ticket was also presented to the district administration of Grand Anse and Baie Ste Anne and the tourism department.

The portrait that accompanies the article shows a couple of moments of the ceremony.
