Africa-Press – Seychelles. Following a break in the calendar due to the 11th Indian Ocean Islands Games, l’Union Cycliste des Seychelles resumed its season over last weekend, hosting a 71.5km circuit race where Mario Ernesta of North Coast Riders finished first, clocking 1 hour, 52 minutes 11 seconds (1h52:11), while with an accumulative time of 5h40:21, Vélo Club de l’Ouest emerged as the best overall team.

Ahmad Arissol of the Vélo Club de l’Ouest (VCDL) finished as the race’s runner-up in 1h52:14, finishing ahead of Jean-Yves Souyave of North Coast Riders (NCR) who was third in 1h54:01, with the same time as fourth-placed finisher Jayden Sinon of VCDL.

Jahdel Gabriel of VCDL was the fifth cyclist to cross the finish line, clocking 1h54:06, finishing ahead of Julian Pool of NCR who was sixth overall in 1h55:03 and he shared the same time with young Trevor Malvina of VCDL Academy who finished seventh in the rankong, and eighth-placed Chris Uzice also of VCDL Academy.

Jeff Esparon of the Option Max Cycling Club (OMCC) finished ninth overall in 1h55:04, ahead of Bertrand Lesperance who finished 10th overall with the same time of 1h55:04.

Stephen Belle of the VCDL was 11th overall in 1h55:05, ahead of veteran rider Ricky Rosalie of the NCR who finished 12th in 2h05:39.
