Africa-Press – Seychelles. Following Mediterranean storm Daniel that passed through eastern Libya over the weekend of September 9, bringing heavy rainfall and flooding that resulted in large-scale destruction, the Libyan embassy in Victoria has opened its doors to receive condolences for the victims.

Since last Monday, a condolence book has been made available to the public in memory of those affected by the flood disaster.

On behalf of President Wavel Ramkalawan, the government, and people of Seychelles a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, including Ambassador Selby Pillay, and director general from the Bilateral Affairs Division within the Ministry, Lindy Ernesta, signed the book, before presenting condolences to Libyan chargé d’affaires to Seychelles Lamia Ezlitni.

Members of the diplomatic corps based in Seychelles also signed the book during the week.
