Africa-Press – Seychelles. Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa and one of the fastest-growing airline brands in the world, is proud to announce an increase of flights from Manchester to Addis Ababa, effective July 3, 2025.

This new daily schedule, increased from five flights per week, will offer extra travel options and enhanced seamless connectivity for passengers across Africa, including connections to the leading Indian Ocean destinations of Zanzibar, Mombasa and the Seychelles, plus amazing Safari destinations like Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Maun, Harare, Victoria Falls, Johannesburg and Lusaka plus many more.

Commenting on the new daily service, Anteneh Fekadu, Ethiopian’s Traffic & Sales Manager in Manchester said: “We are thrilled to increase our flights from Manchester to daily from July 3, 2025. This new schedule shows our commitment to providing our passengers with more travel and connectivity options. We look forward to welcoming our passengers on board and offering them the exceptional service that Ethiopian Airlines provides.”

The news will be welcomed by more than 35,000 passengers who travel from Manchester to destinations across Africa with Ethiopian Airlines every year. In 2024, more than 5,000 passengers flew from Manchester to Zimbabwe, 4,000 flew to South Africa & 3,000 flew to Kenya – all via a connection in Addis Ababa with Ethiopian Airlines.

Stephen Turner, Chief Commercial Officer at Manchester Airport, said: “We are proud of our role in connecting the people of the North to the world, so naturally we’re delighted that Manchester will soon be able to boast daily flights to one of Africa’s largest hub airports. Addis Ababa offers an enviable network of onward connections to every corner of the continent, and now passengers flying from Manchester will be able to travel there with Ethiopian Airlines any day of the week, offering increased flexibility when making their travel plans.

“This is huge news for anyone with friends and family on the continent that they’re planning to visit, and for those from our region who are doing business there – not to mention those wanting to reach some of Africa’s most popular tourist spots like Cape Town, Zanzibar and the Seychelles.”
