Africa-Press – Seychelles. Seychelles Judiciary destroys 1.3 tonnes of drugs seized
Seychelles Judiciary on Saturday destroyed 1.3 tonnes of drugs confiscated by various law enforcement agencies between December 2024 and June 2025. They came from 35 cases in which more than 100 people were convicted.
The drugs burnt at the Seychelles Hospital incinerator included cannabis, heroin, ecstasy and cocaine. It is higher than the amount destroyed in the last exercise in December last year, where 1.2 tonnes of drugs were destroyed. According to the Seychelles Judiciary, this is one of the largest amounts of drugs ever destroyed in the country.
