Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>Air Seychelles has confirmed that its Twin Otter aircraft S7-FAR experienced a hydraulic failure en route to Mah\u00e9 yesterday, Wednesday July 13, 2022, at 3.46pm following its departure from the Praslin Domestic Airport at 3.34pm.<\/b><\/p>\n

The aircraft, which made an emergency landing on the runway at the Seychelles International Airport at 3.50pm, had 12 adults and 1 infant onboard and was operated by two crew members. Upon landing it received the assistance of the Airport Fire and Rescue services.<\/p>\n

Following the arrival of the aircraft, the runway at the Seychelles International Airport was closed for 31 minutes to conduct the runway inspection and to allow the technical operations team time to remove the aircraft on the runway.<\/p>\n

As per the airline emergency procedures the guests disembarked the aircraft and proceeded to the airport domestic terminal with the assistance of Air Seychelles transportation. The aircraft, guests and crew members are safe.<\/p>\n

Due to runway closure, Air Seychelles flight HM048 from Mauritius to the Seychelles experienced 44 minutes delay prior to landing at 4.37pm.<\/p>\n

With safety as its top priority, Air Seychelles confirms that the airline will be conducting a full investigation to determine the cause of the hydraulic failure.<\/p>\n
