Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>Praslinois graduate Ellis Chang Pen Tive paid a courtesy call on President Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday at State House.<\/b>
\nRecipient of a dual degree in Accounting and Finance with specialisation in Forensic Accounting from Asia Pacific University (Malaysia) and Standford University in UK, Ms Chang Pen Tive talked about her career path with the President.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a proud graduate, my visit today to the President was to discuss about my career path. I wanted to know what is in store for me for the future as on Praslin, there is no opportunity for me to work in the field I studied.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Chang Pen Tive shared that it is the first time she has been to State House and met with the President.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was welcoming and I was happy to share my ideas with him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Ms Chang Pen Tive has always lived on Praslin except when she joined the Business School for three years on Mah\u00e9 where she got her Diploma in Accounting and Finance. She later received a scholarship to study in Malaysia. \u201cMy heart is on Praslin and I want to help develop my small island. Currently I am working at the Raffles Hotel as an income auditor. Forensic accounting is basically to detect frauds, finding evidence and proofs when a situation arises. Currently there is no audit firms on Praslin that can cater for small companies and individuals. I would really like to help in that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Chang Pen Tive was accompanied to State House by her dad Derrick Chang Pen Tive and her aunt Myra Labrosse.<\/p>\n
