Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>On the occasion of Clean Up the World on Friday September 16, 2022, Apex Hotel Supply, the distributor of Ceres juice and other quality products, sourced from South Africa, East Africa, Egypt and Europe, held its third APEX\/Ceres clean-up project with a beach cleaning at Anse Royale.<\/b><\/p>\n

The clean-up exercise initiative to rally different groups of volunteers in the community to clean several beaches and trails in the country until the end of the year was launched at the Beau Vallon promenade on June 25, 2022. This was followed by the second clean-up exercise that took place at the Anse Major trail on August 20, 2022.<\/p>\n

A total of 16 people turned up for the cleaning exercise among whom included eight people from outside APEX. The clean-up took place in the beach area behind the Anse Royale market leading up to near KAZ Kreol restaurant.<\/p>\n

After two hours of cleaning, which started at 8.30am, 196kg of mixed trash was collected and later disposed at the Providence landfill. Among the mixed trash included some metal pieces of iron roofs, a small refrigerator, broken plastic chairs and discarded pieces of tents.<\/p>\n

Tara Port Louis from APEX marketing said that they held the clean-up on Saturday as they wanted to feel part of the Clean Up the World activities hosted by the Land Waste Management Agency (LWMA).<\/p>\n

She stated that the next APEX\/Ceres clean-up activity will take place at the Copolia trail which will be followed by two others \u2013 on November 19 at Au Cap beach, and December 17 at Salazie Trail. She called on individuals or groups who wish to participate to visit apex.sc\/cerescleanupproject to register.<\/p>\n
