Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>For twenty years, the Seychelles and Luxembourg have maintained privileged relations through fruitful exchanges actively maintained by the embassies of the Republic of Seychelles in Brussels and Paris and the Honorary Consulate in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.<\/b><\/p>\n

In addition to diplomatic ties, common projects or achievements in the field of education, culture, commerce and agriculture have resulted.<\/p>\n

Craft, art and music are, since time immemorial, very powerful and effective vectors between different cultures and nations.<\/p>\n

It is precisely using this niche that the Honorary Consulate of the Seychelles in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg had chosen to make the Seychelles well visible and attractive in Luxembourg and in the large border region in France, Belgium and Germany.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the organization of an artisanal, artistic and culinary exhibition in the mall of one of the largest commercial centers allowed some 65,000 visitors to discover in the presence of 6 artists, led by the late Allan Ernesta, the assets of the Seychelles outside of its impressive granite formations to discover by boat or trekking, its magnificent botanical gardens and its dream beaches. The daily visual presentation of the assets of the Seychelles by the Honorary Consul Butz Welter as well as the on-site presence of a qualified travel agency did not fail to make visitors dream or even arouse the interest of visitors.<\/p>\n

Based on this experience and on the occasion of the Honorary Consuls’ Conference organized this month by the Ministe\u0300re des Affaires e\u0301trange\u0300res et du Tourisme in Mahe\u0301, the consulate of Luxembourg has invited the very well-known Street-Art Artist Sumo to accompany Butz Welter aux Seychelles in order to get in touch with the Seychellois artistic scene. Des synergies d’inspiration ainsi qu une suite a\u0300 donner au Luxembourg en sont l’objective.<\/p>\n

The emblematic personage of the Seychellois diaspora in Luxembourg Warren Rose, enchanted by this initiative, immediately declared himself ready to move from Luxembourg to the Seychelles for three weeks in order to participate in an admirable way in the organization of the stay and the activities of Sumo ainsi que du consulat.<\/p>\n

Butz and especially Warren have long been linked by a warm friendship with George Camille, a very active painter and owner of magnificent art galleries in the Seychelles.<\/p>\n

George did us the honor of welcoming Sumo to his home and to his workshop.<\/p>\n

The two artists will give us the pleasure of working together and, if necessary, present their works in one of the galleries of George Camille in order to make their works visible to the general public.<\/p>\n

George will, in his turn, have a warm invitation to come to Luxembourg where he will be the host of the Rose and the Welter.<\/p>\n

He will have the opportunity to discover, with the friendly support of Sumo, the Grand-Ducal artistic world and make Seychelles known to a large Luxembourgish, French, Belgian and German public.<\/p>\n

What a beautiful example of fruitful collaboration between the Seychelles and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.<\/p>\n

What a great PR effect for Seychellois tourism, culture and economic dynamism.<\/p>\n\r\n
