Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>The Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) has recently been made aware of a series of fraudulent activities involving certain individuals posing as officers of the organisation claiming to be conducting on-site registration and verification of properties during the weekends in the south western region of Mahe\u0301.<\/b><\/p>\n

The organisation has also been made aware of emails being circulated alleging to be from SRC, requesting taxpayers to click on a link to acknowledge their Tax Identification Number (TIN).<\/p>\n

For clarity, in line with SRC\u2019s policy when conducting onsite visit on a taxpayer\u2019s property, the SRC officer dressed in full uniform will display his or her SRC employee identification card, in addition to holding an official warrant authorised by the SRC\u2019s<\/p>\n

Commissioner General to the taxpayer, prior to accessing the property.<\/p>\n

In regards to email communications between taxpayers and SRC, all email addresses from the organisation ends with the domain name @src.gov.sc<\/p>\n

Members of the public are thus being advised that SRC is not associated with any of these activities which are of a fraudulent nature and not to reply to any suspicious emails pretending to be from the organisation.<\/p>\n

These activities must be avoided and must be reported to law enforcement authorities immediately.<\/p>\n
