Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>After launching several books on his poems, poet Reuban Lespoir launched the first two history books in Creole.<\/b><\/p>\n

These two books with colorful animated characters and large letters, ‘Ani and Fourmi’ and ‘Degaze David Degaze’, are part of his prose twenty books of Creole history for children that he intends to produce in accordance with the twenty letters of the alphabet that are used Creole teeth.<\/p>\n

The launch of these two books took place on Friday afternoon in the auditorium of the Seychelles Institute for Teacher Education (SITE) Mont Fleuri, in the presence of the principal secretary for education services, Merna Eulentin; permanent secretary of the Seychelles Institute of Culture, Heritage and Country, Cecile Kalebi; vice chancellor of the University of Seychelles, Joe\u0308lle Perreau; family members; school children among other guests.<\/p>\n

This launch was part of the Universal Children’s Day last year, Sunday, November 20.<\/p>\n

The book ‘Ani and Ants’ is a story that revolves around a picnic where Ani went and where she ate a ‘sandwich’ where later when she was relaxing the ants that were attracted by the ‘sandwich’ order came all over her .<\/p>\n

‘Degase David Degase’ tells the story of the student who slept in the morning where he didn’t even hear the alarm clock and then a big class was degassed and did not prepare him to go to school later. clothes are also dishonored in the degassing, he learned that it was Sunday and not Monday to go to school.<\/p>\n

These two books in large characters by Reuban, have been illustrated by Kenny Bonnelame and misampaz by Bartholomew Bibi. They have been sponsored by the National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Seychelles.<\/p>\n

These two books cost R150 per year and I wish that for the time being you are not looking for a place to put them, members of the public who want copies of these two books, especially to make gifts for children for this festive time among others, to be able to contact you on the number 2522557 to buy your copy.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, Mr. Lespoir, Mr. Bibi and Mr. Bonnelame signed copies of these two books, after which copies were handed over by the children of the family to some of the guests who were present. The audience also had the pleasure of listening to some excerpts of poems written by Rueban read by the children of Bling Bling, the Seychellois poetic association that Reuban belongs to. Two other fellow poets in the Bling Bling association, Stephanie Joubert and Vincent Milius, also presented a piece of their composition.<\/p>\n

Mr. Lespoir said that these two books are formed by a Creole reading program that he wants to bring into the education system as another alternative for teachers and parents.<\/p>\n

He also launched a call for funds to be able to launch other books in prose.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that these two books include others that will be launched in the future to help children with reading problems.<\/p>\n
