Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>The special representative for Denmark\u2019s candidature for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Kristian Jensen, paid a courtesy call on the principal secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Vivianne Fock Tave, at Maison Qu\u00e9au de Quinssy on Friday last week.<\/p>\n

Mr Jensen briefed Ambassador Fock Tave on the stance of the Danish government towards tackling global challenges and its objectives should they secure a non-permanent seat on the Council for the term 2025-2026.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Fock Tave reflected on the excellent cooperation between Seychelles and Denmark, notably in the field of maritime security.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Fock Tave called on Denmark, as a member of the European Union, to advocate for the vulnerabilities of small island developing states (Sids) like Seychelles.<\/p>\n

Also present at the meeting were Basil Soundy, honorary consul for Denmark and senior officials of the Foreign Affairs department.<\/p>\n
