Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>Mont Fleuri-based One Stone are only one win away from being crowned the new league champions and replace Real Maldives, despite having played three matches more than the latter who are presently trailing in second position on the table.<\/b><\/p>\n

A win in regular time tomorrow against Sorry in their last league match will crown One Stone as new champions, regardless of Real Maldives\u2019 results in their remaining four league matches.<\/p>\n

If they get a win in normal time tomorrow, One Stone will end the season on 63 points, guaranteeing them the title on the head-to-head rule in case Real Maldives also win all their remaining matches.<\/p>\n

One Stone have garnered 60 points from 20 wins and three defeats from 23 matches played, while Real Maldives are on 51 points from 17 wins and three defeats out of 20 matches played.<\/p>\n

Even if Real Maldives win their four remaining matches, earning them 63 points, similar to One Stone, they will have to settle for second position based on the head-to-head rule.<\/p>\n

In their first round match, Real Maldives edged out One Stone 4-3, but they were trounced 8-2 by the latter in their second-round encounter.<\/p>\n

Real Maldives still have to face Marine Maintenance, Club Stormy Taka, Equator and village rivals Sunrise.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Sports NATION, One Stone manager Roddy Rath said he is confident about a win tomorrow since the players are mindful that this will be their last hurdle towards glory.<\/p>\n

He said they will be taking the match very seriously, not underestimating their opponents, even if they linger at the bottom of the table.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be going all out for a win, and the title,\u201d said Rath who added that despite certain disadvantages, which he did not want to reveal, One Stone have a point to prove, and that is they are the best in that discipline.<\/p>\n

Further down the league table, the battle is also hot for the remaining positions with MLUH maintaining third position on 45 points from 15 wins and seven defeats from 22 matches played, one spot above Sunrise who are fourth on 44 points from 16 victories and five defeats from 21 matches played.<\/p>\n

Club Stormy Taka who have registered 13 wins and eight defeats from 21 matches are fifth overall on 34 points, ahead of sixth-placed Marine Maintenance who have garnered 34 points from 12 wins and nine defeats out of 21 matches played.<\/p>\n

Beach Boyz have leapfrogged Vision into seventh spot, having garnered 31 points from 12 wins and nine defeats out of 21 matches played, while the latter are now eighth overall on 30 points from 10 wins and 11 defeats out of 21 matches played.<\/p>\n

Sorry who will face One Stone tomorrow are presently ninth overall on 28 points from 10 wins and 11 defeats from 21 matches, while on 15 points, Perse\u0301ve\u0301rance are occupying the 10th overall spot after five victories and 15 defeats out of 20 outings.<\/p>\n

Equator are currently 11th overall on 10 points from four wins and 17 losses out of 21 matches played, ahead of Glacis who are 12th overall on five points after two victories and 19 defeats from 21 matches.<\/p>\n

With only a win and 20 defeats from 21 matches played, Skychef are at the bottom of the league table on three points.<\/p>\n
