Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>Local singer Winsley Cedras steps back on to the music scene with a new album titled \u2018Ou Mesaz\u2019.<\/b><\/p>\n

The artist said through the 15-track album, he wants to share a message of perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity.<\/p>\n

He said the songs were chosen specifically to convey the pain he went through between 2012 and 2016, through injustice and psychological trauma.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a reflection of life and its challenges. \u2018La vie est un combat\u2019, but it also portrays love and motivation. Some of the songs are my own personal experiences,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Mr Cedras said his fans will be able to enjoy good music and new titles such as \u2018Imen lo Later\u2019, \u2018Moutya Zil Marie Louise\u2019, \u2018Lo Semen Dibyen\u2019, \u2018Montanny Poze\u2019 and the famous \u2018Pti Lasirenn\u2019.<\/p>\n

The tracks were recorded by Ruben, Nabby and the late Peter Jules at Seyrecords studio and vibez sound.<\/p>\n

The artist said it has been in the works since October 2020 and was finalised last month.<\/p>\n

According to him, it got delayed due to various reasons including the Covid-19 pandemic and financial constraints.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am launching it now because it is the most opportune time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He encouraged his fans to buy their copy as \u201ceveryone can find a little something to like in those songs as they speak to all ages\u201d.<\/p>\n

However he added that it might appeal more to the middle-aged population.<\/p>\n

Mr Cedras, whose love for music started when he was 17 years old, said he has produced the album mostly on his own and the whole process was expensive, and this could be his last one.<\/p>\n

The artist said he was considering venturing into another field.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a poet and songwriter, but not a musician although I play a little guitar. I may now focus on poems. My next step is to wait for feedback from the public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u2018Ou Mesaz\u2019 is available on pendrive and CD and is on sale at the usual outlets on Mahe\u0301 and Praslin, namely Darras Plus on Mahe\u0301, Ah-Yune shop and At Aden shop on Praslin. Fans can also buy their copy from Mr Cedras (2505539).<\/p>\n
