Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>LIFE Force’ is the name of an exhibition by Colin Albest, a 47-year-old craftsman who learned everything about himself.<\/b><\/p>\n

This exhibition, which opened recently at the Carrefour des Arts gallery in Anvil, was made in collaboration with the National Council for Arts and Crafts.<\/p>\n

In front of a group of family and friends, including the representatives of this council, Mr. Albest expressed his appreciation for all their support that made him arrive to demonstrate his work in a professional exhibition.<\/p>\n

“I thank NACC (National Council for Arts and Crafts) for giving me this support and encouraging me to show this exhibition today. My speech is a little simple and goes to young artists. Do not limit your body because it is a strong talent and where a good one can be revealed and said without even writing a word. Explore the different techniques that work for them that one day they will show their work as well,” Mr. Albert said.<\/p>\n

Davis Padayachy, one of his close friends, said that Mr. Albest has an extraordinary talent that everyone should see and experience.<\/p>\n

“Colin is a person who likes to share and will show his knowledge to others and is always ready to help others,” Mr. Padayachy said.<\/p>\n

NACC executive director Jimmy Savy also made his remarks before officially opening the exhibition. “At the council we are very happy that Colin has made this decision to hold this exhibition today; a solo exhibition. It is helping to restore the value of land and crafts in Seychelles and this is really important,” Mr. Savy said.<\/p>\n

Metabiel Henriette, a student from Lar school (SIAD) says that Mr. Albest’s work has helped him to get more inspiration for his essays that he does at school.<\/p>\n

“These art forms show me that there are several methods of creating a work on art and it can also be transformed in different ways where it is not always just houses and sky but also abstract,” the young student explained.’LIFE Force’ is now open to the public during the day until September 15.<\/p>\n
