Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>Basil Hoareau is now a Confederation of African Football license A coach and this follows the completion of a coaching course he attended together with three other local coaches.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) license A coaching course was run by Seychellois Caf instructor Ralph Jean-Louis. Donald Monnaie, Gerard Bistoquet and Nicholas Simouri Carlos are the other coaches who followed their course but were not successful for many reasons.<\/p>\n

Head coach of the Co\u0302te d\u2019Or Football Club, coach Hoareau told Sports NATION he was very happy to have reached this far in his coaching career.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe course was not easy. There were a lot of new things to cover but I remained focus and motivated during the course to complete it,\u201d said coach Hoareau. He also mentioned that working with a football coach also helped him garner the extra points needed to be get Caf\u2019s approval seal.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that for the moment his objective is to share with his team what he has learned in the course.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast season we were runners-up in the league, and this year I will be bringing new methods and principles which will benefit the squad in our pursuit for the league title,\u201d said coach Hoareau.<\/p>\n

In addition he also said that he will continue to work to gather more experience to possibly feature among the coaching staff of the national team for the 12th Indian Ocean Islands Games.<\/p>\n

The Co\u0302te d\u2019Or coach mentioned that he is now better equipped to develop his squad and guide his players. Coach Hoareau has also take the opportunity to urge all coaches who are passionate about the sport to come forward and follow similar courses for their own benefit, their squad and the development of Seychelles football.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Sports NATION at the end of the course two weeks ago, instructor Jean-Louis said the training was of a very high level and it will surely influence other countries in the region to do the same.<\/p>\n

He also mentioned that the Caf coaching course offered great tenacity, new equipments and tools to grasp and use so as to propel football in Seychelles forward.<\/p>\n

Instructor Jean-Louis said the coaching course, which began in February, was divided into four modules and they received international cooperation whereby they showed the local coaches how to use certain equipment such as GPS, sports beeper and more.<\/p>\n

The Caf coaching course for license A began in February this year and only four coaches took part after 18 were invited to attend.<\/p>\n
