Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>Seychelles\u2019 sole New Year baby was welcomed into this world at 7.38pm.<\/p>\n

The little bundle of joy is a healthy baby boy who was born by caesarian section and who weighed 3.250kg.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am overjoyed,\u201d was his mother\u2019s reaction to Seychelles NATION.<\/p>\n

Petulla Volcy said although her due date was January 1, she was not experiencing any pain and was therefore not expecting the baby on New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

However, she was admitted later during the day, and welcomed her lovely son into the world later that evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy only sister has a son, and now I have given birth to a boy as well. So we now have two boys in the family on my maternal side. I am so happy because I wanted a boy,\u201d she exclaimed.<\/p>\n

The Les Mamelles resident and her partner, Anniff Basset, are yet to decide on a name for their son and for now they are enjoying his arrival into the world.<\/p>\n
