Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>To mark their anniversaries, associated companies Taylor Smith Naval Services Limited and Presafe Services Limited have donated two marine-grade automated external defibrillators worth R80,000 to be used in the ambulance services of the Seychelles Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven the services we provide are geared towards maritime-related activities, including distribution of marine-grade fire equipment, and the fact that our business model is rooted in caring for the community in keeping with our Mauritian counterpart\u2019s core values \u2013 empower, respect, and innovate \u2013, we consider it part of our corporate social responsibility to contribute to saving the lives of those working in the maritime industry or involved in maritime accidents which could also result in cardiac arrest,\u201d said chief executive of the group of companies, Veronique Herminie.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaylor Smith Naval Services Limited as a group ensures maximum safety for the services being provided by its various subsidiaries and associated companies and support causes relating to fire fighting and maritime safety,\u201d said Mrs Herminie.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of our marine activities, for example, we often conduct salvage operations which require our divers to go the extra mile in the provision of the service, one must be mindful of any potential danger. The incidents of December 2023 taught us that we need to be prepared for any eventualities and we hope this donation will assist in adequately equipping our ambulances,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Dr Danny Louange, chief executive of the Health Care Agency who accepted the defibrillators from operations manager of PRESAFE Services Limited, Jean-Franc\u0327ois Lepathy, welcomed this generous donation and appreciated the support as it plays a crucial role in advancing the agency\u2019s mission and makes a significant difference in the lives of those it serves. \u201cIt\u2019s heartening to celebrate such generosity and commitment towards our cause. This donation is timely given as 25 paramedics and EMTs are due for training on basic life support,\u201d said Dr Louange.<\/p>\n

Also present for the donation, were representatives from Taylor Smith Naval Services Limited, PRESAFE Services Limited, and the Health Care Agency.<\/p>\n

Presafe Services Limited, a company based in the Providence Industrial Estate and owned jointly by Taylor Smith Naval Services Limited and Liquid Air (Seychelles) Limited, has celebrated its 14th anniversary after being set up on January 25, 2010.<\/p>\n

The company supplies and services firefighting equipment and relevant accessories to commercial businesses, households, vehicles, and boats. It has a diverse portfolio of commercial clients across industries, including construction, tourism and hospitality, car hire operators, boat and yacht charter, fisheries, manufacturing and production, banking and finance, insurance, shipping and maritime, education, entertainment, medical, beauty and Spas, and government institutions.<\/p>\n

As it happens, Taylor Smith Naval Services Limited which operates a slipway for boat repairs capable of lifting vessels of up to 600 tons and a travel lift with the associated quay for vessels of 150 tons, also celebrated the 29th anniversary since its inception as Gondwana Plant at the Providence Industrial Estate.
\n<\/p>\n

Other than fire fighting and prevention, and boat repairs and maintenance, the group also provides services such as upholstery, fiberglass works and products, steel fabrication, electric buggies, and related spare parts (tires, trojan and lithium-ion batteries), industrial and medical gases. It also operates a refuelling station for charter boats and other vessels.<\/p>\n
