Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>Local singer Daniel is the best-selling artist for Cable Tune 2023.<\/p>\n

Inside a packed NSC Hall at Roche Cai\u0308man, on Saturday night, the dreadlocked artist received his prize in front of a crowd of enthusiastic fans who had come to witness the 11th Cable Tune awards sponsored by Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS).<\/p>\n

His prizes include a trophy and cash prize from CWS, a gift bag from Seychelles Breweries Ltd and a gift voucher from Moloko restaurant. He also won the prize for \u2018Best Te\u0301le\u0301Sesel Top 10\u2019 along with Reuben, for their song \u2018Doub Konsyans\u2019.<\/p>\n

In the other categories, Auspitious and Tania won the prize for best male and best female artists respectively. Auspitious also won the best album accolade.<\/p>\n

Female singer Mili Madnesse was named \u2018best new artist\u2019 while Highness with his song \u2018Pe Santi Parey\u2019 won the prize for \u2018best single\u2019. Sophie Morgan featuring Highness with their song \u2018Parey Ou\u2019 won the award for \u2018best collaboration\u2019 and the award for \u2018best music producer\u2019 went to Dareal Thing.<\/p>\n

With regard to filming, the song \u2019Pain\u2019 by Mikhail won the award for \u2018best video clip\u2019 and the producer of this same video, Danio Denousse from Endemic Media Seychelles, won the award for \u2018best video producer\u2019.<\/p>\n

There was also an award for the best live performing artist for the night and this went to Julia. The prizes for the different categories were also in the form of a trophy and cash prize from CWS, a gift bag from Seychelles Breweries Ltd and a gift voucher from Moloko.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media, both Daniel and Tania said they did not expect to win prizes and were thankful to all the loyal fans. Both artists said they were working on …………….a new album to be released soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was not expecting to win any prizes today but on the whole I am satisfied with what I have been able to achieve in music, to please my fans. They are the ones voting for me and I thank them as they are the ones who respect Seychellois music. Given the lack of respect at times for local artists, the Cable Tune Awards is a good initiative for artists to gain some respect and recognition,\u201d Daniel said.<\/p>\n

As for Tania, she had this to day: \u201cI was definitely not expecting to be named best female artist but the fans have voted. I thank them and I appreciate what they have done for me. The awards ceremony has been well organised, everything was nice, artists have been recognised for their efforts and I am very happy. It\u2019s a ten over ten.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cable Tune awards ceremony has been a long-standing tradition by the telecommunication service provider to recognise and honour the brightest local stars of the music industry. It is the fans who vote for the best awardees by sending their favourite corresponding artist\u2019s code to 9688.<\/p>\n

Cable Tunes is a platform that offers local artists and producers an opportunity to expose their visions and creativity while CWS customers and the whole community get to enjoy their good music. The musical award was first introduced under the umbrella of #Siportartislokal in 2009. This years\u2019 ceremony was special as it coincided with CWS\u2019 130th anniversary celebration.<\/p>\n

Carinne Houareau, public relations and events executive at CWS, said the telecommunication company was very satisfied with the show, the performance and the turnout.<\/p>\n

“Faced with the unprecedented December 7 disasters and the unavoidable postponement of our Cable Tunes Awards event, we want to recognise the patience and understanding of all partners, guests, and attendees who have been truly remarkable and understanding. Your unwavering support and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we are sincerely thankful for the resilience and positive spirit demonstrated to make this event another success,” Ms Houareau stated.<\/p>\n

To note Auspicious, Highness and Sophie Morgan were not present to collect their prizes. The award ceremony which saw some fantastic live performances by various artists ended with an after party and disco until early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
