Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>According to a statement from Egypt’s foreign ministry, the signing occurred during Radegonde\u2019s visit to Cairo, during which the two ministers discussed several topics of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

Abdelatty emphasized the potential to enhance economic and trade cooperation, particularly by boosting Egyptian exports to Seychelles within the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) framework. He also highlighted the opportunity to facilitate the entry of Egyptian pharmaceuticals into the Seychellois market, noting their quality and competitive pricing.<\/p>\n

The ministers also agreed to deepen cooperation in tourism, with Egypt offering to share expertise, invest in Seychelles\u2019 resorts, and increase exports of hotel equipment.<\/p>\n

In the statement, both officials praised the coordination between their countries within the African Union (AU) and stressed the importance of continued consultation on African issues.<\/p>\n


\nThey called for reforming global financial institutions to ensure concessional financing for the African countries most affected by crises.<\/p>\n

On regional developments, Abdelatty stressed the need to halt the Israeli war on Gaza, restore the ceasefire, and support the Egypt-prepared Arab-Islamic plan to rebuild the strip.<\/p>\n

The ministers also underlined the importance of maintaining stability in international navigation routes, particularly given Seychelles\u2019s strategic location near the Horn of Africa.<\/p>\n
