Throughout the diocesan community, a profound surge of faith, unity, and service is palpable, testifying to the importance of this event for the Church in Seychelles.<\/p>\n

This celebration is first and foremost deeply spiritual, as it will take place on the Feast of Divine Mercy, a day of particular significance for the faithful worldwide. On this Sunday, the Church contemplates God\u2019s infinite and merciful love, recalling that all pastoral mission is rooted in this mercy. The episcopal ordination is thus part of a dynamic of total trust in God, calling the new shepherd to be a living sign of this mercy for the people entrusted to his care.<\/p>\n

It is also apostolic, as it is a direct continuation of the mission of the Apostles. Through the laying on of hands and the prayer of consecration, the Church perpetuates this living tradition passed down from the beginning.
