Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>More convenience, ease for customers in southern, western regions<\/b><\/p>\n

Since Monday April 12, people from the southern and western regions of Mah\u00e9 have been settling their utility bills in a new, spacious and more conducive environment now that the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) has opened its new customer services centre located at Anse Royale opposite the fun park and alongside the main road going towards Takamaka.<\/p>\n

This facility has been upgraded from being a mere payment counter, as was the case at its previous services centre which was located in the Cable & Wireless facilities a few metres away, to being a comprehensive customer services centre.<\/p>\n

This means that customers from these regions of Mah\u00e9 will now benefit from the convenience of submitting application forms for any utility-related services as well as clear any issues related to their bills before payment at the centre.<\/p>\n

The Anse Royale customer services centre provides for more counters and ample space for customers to do their business as well as sitting facilities for elderly and tired customers.<\/p>\n

Brigitte Payet, communication manager at the PUC, said the new centre will help relieve pressure from the town centres.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur customers in the region will be able to do their business in a more conducive surrounding and will be able to sit comfortably while they wait to be served,\u201d Ms Payet said.<\/p>\n

She noted that the PUC has provided services to customers in the area from its small counter in the Cable & Wireless facilities for over 10 years.<\/p>\n

The new centre also provides ample space for parking around the building.<\/p>\n

Customers have so far expressed satisfaction at the upgraded facilities at the new centre.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is really nice and modern and as it provides all the services customers need, there is therefore no need to go to town,\u201d one gentleman said of the new centre.<\/p>\n

The centre opens on weekdays from 8.15am to 4pm.<\/p>\n
