Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>SL United and GSP 7 A have qualified for the division two final of MSC\/Enjoy Super League T20 cricket tournament after winning their semifinals played on Sunday May 29 at the Perseverance grounds.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the morning, the first semifinal match of division two was played between SL United and BD Tigers.<\/p>\n

Winning the toss, BD Tigers decided to bat first. Upon batting, BD Tigers managed to set up a target of 89 in 20 overs. Ashikur Rahman 19(25) was the best among their batsmen.<\/p>\n

For SL United, bowlers Supun took 3 wickets and Rashen De Silva 2 wickets, making things easy for them.<\/p>\n

Upon chasing the target, SL United batsmen Thimeera 46(44), Rashen 32(24) drove them to victory at the end of 13 overs.<\/p>\n

Rashen De Silva was selected player-of-the-match for his all-round performance.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, the second semifinal was played between GSPs 7 A and Quincy Spartan Warriors.<\/p>\n

Winning the toss, GSP 7 A skipper Yakesh decided to bat first. Upon batting, batsmen Karthik 44(41), Vivek 24(31), Ankith 10(18) managed to set up a score of 133\/8 in 20 overs.<\/p>\n

Bowler Aswin of Quincy Spartan Warriors grabbed 5 wickets in his spell of 4 overs and conceded only 20 runs<\/p>\n

Upon chasing, the Spartans lost some early wickets. Although batsmen Aswin 26(35), Parthi 52(46), Guna 14(11) tried to win the game for Spartan they fell short by 6 runs.<\/p>\n

Karthik of GSP 7 A grabbed 2 wickets and was selected as player-of-the-match for his all-round performance.<\/p>\n

Eventually both SL United and GSP 7 A qualified and will play against each other in the final of the Enjoy Super league T20 on Sunday June 12 in the morning match at Pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance.<\/p>\n
