Africa-Press – Seychelles. <\/strong><\/span>JK Parcou building, a new, modern office block housing different businesses and situated just at the entrance of the Providence commercial centre, was officially opened in a short ceremony on Wednesday evening.
\n<\/b>
\nPresident Wavel Ramkalawan and Rosita Parcou officially unveiled the plaque and cut the ribbon to open the new building in the presence of First Lady Linda Ramkalawan, Minister for Local Government and Community Affairs Rose-Marie Hoareau, partners and friends of the late Julien Keven Parcou.<\/p>\n

The building was a dream project of the late Julien Keven Parcou but he passed away before it was completed. His wife, Rosita Parcou, decided to take on and continue the project and complete the work of her late husband.<\/p>\n

In total the whole project has cost R17 million.<\/p>\n

Peter Moncherry, director of Norman\u2019s Car Hire who owns the JK Parcou building, said the completion of the building is a great success and commended Rosita Parcou and the workers. \u201cFortunately his wife took the initiative to pursue the project and bring life to the dream,\u201d added Mr Moncherry.<\/p>\n

He went on to thank Patrick Charlette, the architect who came up with what he described as \u201ca wonderful and modern architectural design\u201d. Franky Lespoire, the structural engineer, Rajesh Pandya, the managing director of Ascent Project and his construction team as well as Philip Uzice who designed and installed the neon sign were also commended for their wonderful work.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday the JK Parcou building stands as a landmark at Providence and it is there, in memory of Keven,\u201d said Mr Moncherry.<\/p>\n

The building which took three years to complete due to delays brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, has three floors including the ground floor. The Panafricare clinic has taken up the whole of the first floor while the remaining two will soon be occupied. The building also has a large car park that can cater for up to 30 cars and Moncherry said they are very proud of that as the building is easily accessible to tenants, clients and public accessing the different services.<\/p>\n
