2023 Elections: Former IGP Ambrose Sovula Casts His Vote in Bungor Village, Bo District

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Former Inspector General of Police, IG Ambrose Michael Sovula, exercised his democratic right by casting his vote in the peaceful village of Bungor, located in the Bumpeh chiefdom Bo District.

Sovula, who has been an influential figure in law enforcement, urged citizens to follow suit and actively participate in the ongoing electoral process.

The Former Inspector General urges individuals to actively participate in the voting process and support the most suitable candidate by showing up in large numbers.

Ambrose Sovula was relieved of his duty as Inspector General (IG) on July 27, 2022. However, no specific reason was given for the President’s decision to relieve him. Some individuals believe that the President’s action was prompted by the need for reform within the Sierra Leone Police Force, as there were widespread criticisms of police brutality and excessive force.
