Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Sierra Leone High Commission to the United Kingdom commended President Bio over the laudable vision to ensure food security in the country.
The President has recently traveled in honor of the invitation by the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres to attend the UN food systems summit +2 stocking moment on July-24-26, 2023.
The commission maintained that the attendance of the president is key and very important to the improvement of food security in the country. This moment also merged with the president’s second-term mandate of making agriculture his flagship program in ensuring that food insecurity is wiped out in the country.
The statement from the commission reads, “Mr. President, your attendance at this UN food summit, is a very important step for Sierra Leone. As the nation works on the implementation of your laudable vision to ensure food security, tackle the effects of climate change, and protect the environment, your inspiring leadership is key.”
