Government of Sierra Leone Announces Inauguration Ceremony For Newly Elected Mayors And Councilors
Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, has unveiled plans for the upcoming inauguration of the newly elected Mayors/Chairpersons, their Deputies, and Councilors representing the 22 Local Councils in Sierra Leone.
In an official statement, the Ministry conveyed that the Honorable Vice President, also serving as the Chairman of the Inter Ministerial Committee on Local Governance, will preside over the official inauguration proceedings.
This significant event is scheduled to unfold across Sierra Leone’s five regional headquarters as follows:
Southern Region: The ceremony will commence on Thursday, 10th August, 2023, at the Bo District Council Hall, with proceedings set to begin promptly at 9:00 am.
