Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has announced the arrest of three fugitives—Alpha Turay, Joseph Dumbuya, and Salieu Jalloh—suspected of being involved in the failed coup attempt that took place in November 2023.
In a press release issued on Wednesday 25th April 2025, the SLP confirmed that the arrests were made possible through valuable information provided by members of the public. The police expressed their gratitude to the citizens who contributed to the success of this operation.
Reaffirming its dedication to national security and justice, the SLP emphasized its ongoing commitment to pursue, apprehend, investigate, and prosecute all individuals linked to the attempted coup. Authorities have reiterated that no effort will be spared in ensuring that all those involved face the full force of the law.
As part of its strategy to encourage public cooperation, the SLP is offering a compensation package of NLe 10,000 to any person who provides credible information leading to the arrest of fugitives still at large.
