Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Union of Premier League Clubs issued an official statement to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, declaring their intention to boycott the commencement of the second leg of the 2024/2025 Leone Rock Premier League, scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2025, if several issues are not resolved.
In the statement addressed to the SLFA Executive, the Premier League Board, and all football stakeholders, the Union outlined several conditions that must be met for clubs to participate in the second leg.
These conditions include the payment of the 2023/2024 Champions and Runners-up Prize Money on or before the commencement of the second leg, and the disbursement of subsidy money to all clubs by the same date. The Union also demands the publication of all pending protest and appeal decisions before the league resumes.
Furthermore, the clubs are insisting that all registered players must possess a printed FIFA ID Licensed Card before the start of the second leg.
The Union of Premier League Clubs urged the SLFA and the Premier League Board to address these issues with utmost priority to ensure the participation of clubs in the second leg of the league.
