Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The following documents show that the company known as Air Sierra Leone Limited was incorporated as a private limited company (#16412879) in the United Kingdom on 28 April 2025; two days after it reportedly made its first flight into Sierra Leone from London-Gatwick on 26 April 2025.
Corporate records from the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales list two individuals as executive directors of Air Sierra Leone: Emmanuel Ayuba Iza and Tonye Rex Idaminabo.
Documentary records filed with the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales also state that Emmanuel Ayuba Iza, born 1979 and listed as Chief Executive Officer of Air Sierra Leone, is a national of St. Lucia and resident of the United Arab Emirates; while his counterpart, Tonye Rex Idaminabo, born in 1985 and listed as a consultant, is a Nigerian resident in Scotland.
The company’s registration records provide that Emmanuel Ayuba Iza and Tonye Rex Idaminabo are the joint shareholders of the company, although they both do not individually hold more than 50% of the company’s shares.
The above raises the following questions:
Are the listed individuals – Emmanuel Ayuba Iza and Tonye Rex Idaminabo – the actual owners of Air Sierra Leone?
Who are these two business executives?
What is their business and investment profiles?
Where did they generate their investment capital to be granted a flag of convenience (FOC) to operate airline services in the name of Sierra Leone?
Who vetted Air Sierra Leone and did the vetting process comply with Sierra Leonean law?
Is Air Sierra Leone, a company incorporated in the UK less than two weeks ago on 28 April 2025, qualified to be granted Sierra Leone’s Flag of Convenience (FOC) to operate air services in the name of the country?
What is the relationship between the company and Julius Maada Bio and other individuals in the Bio regime?
What is the relationship between the Fly Sierra Leone scandal and this new Air Sierra Leone?
Did Sierra Leone’s Parliament approve this “special arrangement” awarded to this new air service company flying Sierra Leone’s flag?
Are the company’s full details, including its true ownership, investment profile, assets, liabilities, and source of finances known or been disclosed to the Sierra Leone public?
These are just preliminary questions that every Sierra Leonean needs to ask.
As you await answers to these questions, we hereby provide you excerpts of the following documents to illustrate the evidence upon which this brief update is based.
