Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has extended the deadline for the first phase of the 2025/26 player transfer window from Tuesday, October 21, 2025, to Thursday, October 30, 2025.
According to the SLFA, the decision was made to allow clubs adequate time to align with the newly revamped Football Ecosystem System and the updated Sierra Leone Football Calendar recently announced by the Association.
The SLFA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth transition into the new system and establishing a more efficient operational framework for football activities nationwide.
“All clubs are therefore encouraged to make good use of this extended period to finalize their player registrations and transfers accordingly,” the statement from the Sierra Leone Football Association reads.
The reason for the extension, the SLFA explained, is to give clubs sufficient time to complete player registrations and transfers in line with the new digital and administrative systems introduced under the restructured football calendar.
