Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. the Leone Rock Metal Group has signed a landmark sponsorship agreement with the Sierra Leone Premier League for the 2025-2026 season, valued at Four Million, Sixty-Six Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty-Four New Leones (NLe 4,066,164).
The deal, announced today, solidifies the mining company’s position as the premier league’s leading corporate partner. It represents a significant increase from last year’s sponsorship of NLe 3,388,170, continuing a trend of growing financial commitment from the company.
This new agreement marks the third consecutive year of partnership between the league and the mining giant. The company’s sponsorship has seen a dramatic rise, from an initial $80,000 for the 2023/2024 season to the current multi-million Leone deal, demonstrating its deepening investment in the sport’s development within the country.
At a previous sponsorship announcement, the company’s Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Salim Sillah, had highlighted that their league sponsorship was the largest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative the company had ever undertaken. He stated that the partnership was a “testament to our dedication to its growth.”
The Premier League Board has historically praised the partnership as a crucial catalyst for raising the league’s standards. The renewed sponsorship is expected to provide essential funding to enhance the competition, improve facilities, and create better opportunities for players and clubs across the nation.
